based on how good this feels and how much more power I can get. On the other hand, I am thinking of going back to a larger turbo. VTC is supposed to improve spool-up, so would a properly designed split turbine housing and header. and I should not have taken the Variable cam timing out. (I highly recommend EFR7670, 4piston turbo cam, 4piston 154 head. This is why I am not posting any comments, until I cross this threshold. Stock tranny lasted about 8 hours, although, based on the evidence, once we opened it, the 4th gear teeth were missing for a while. So far the tranny survived the dyno and 2 hours at the track. I am not convinced that that device is worth it instead of shifting in opposite direction (forward for up). It seems to add an extra bit of stiffness to the shifter. Otherwise, up and down directions are not the same as is common or would be in a Honda chassis. Momentum Motorsport in GB supplies a gear 'reverser' for the Lotus. The case is the weak part in the stock or stock-based set-up.Ħ. It is a nice part and seems that it would add strength to the combined Quife(rear) and billet front case i.e. Instead of re-using the stock front (bellhousing) tranny case, I bought a billet part. It is called by other brand name, but the description refers to geartronics.ĥ. Pegasus is selling Geartronics gear indicator for 1/2 price of Geartronics. 'Timing' the sensor while it is in-car is tough (no clearance). Also do not frget to install the gear position sensor BEFORE you drop the tranny into the Lotus. I run special/bigger CV's from driveshaftshop. I had to clearance for the drivers' side CV space a little. It is about the same size as stock and fits into the Elise/Exige, just like a stock K20. The front case, reverse and some bearings are re-used from the original box.Ĥ. So no assembly manual is provided, just drawings. Quaife believes that if You cannot figure out how to assemble it by yourself, you should not be doing it. ![]() All the standard Honda pre-loads and shims apply.ģ.
